Original Deerington Application

• Link to Accepted Deerington Application: Here.

• Additional Adjustments to include:
For the most part, Melius stayed on the fringes of things going on in Deerington. He was more or less oblivious to the goings-on of the Pthumerians, of the major NPCs or the plot beyond what was happening with his close CR. He stuck to the woods, really only venturing into town when he had to.

He did forge major bonds with Varian, though. A fellow alchemist. He had smaller ones with Charlie, Jojen, and anyone who would drop by his alchemy table. That was what he really tried to do, what he mostly focused on. He really felt like this was his chance to do something that wasn't just be the hero. A role he never wanted to begin with. Most of his time in Deerington, therefore, was spent running away from that, from any kind of involvement that would put him in the role of a hero.

He just wanted to spend time in the woods, picking weird mushrooms and making potions.

Deer Country Attributes

• Canon Powers:
Melius learned to fight first by hiding behind a shield. And then hitting things really hard with a rock. Along the way, he picked up a mace, and found it worked a lot better than a rock. Here and there in his travels, actual warriors were able to help him learn how to better handle himself with both shield and mace - making him a fairly capable fighter in that regard. But he still likes to hide behind the shield. Occasionally hitting people with it as a strategy.

As an Argonian, Melius has a strong resistance to normal poisons. Normal poisons, being anything found in the natural, waking world. That resistance won't help him against Deerington created things. He can also breathe underwater for as long as he remains submerged. How Argonians do this, we just don't know. Only that they can.

He speaks very limited Dragon Speech - mostly from trying to translate Shouts and talking to Paarthurnax.

Other than that, he's a basic, squishy living thing... but with one special ability of the Dragonborn.
Shouts:
  • Basically magic in the form of yelling. Only the Dragonborn, or an actual dragon, can use multiple shouts with ease. They're made of three words in Dragonspeak, and when yelled, have a variety of fun effects. Such as creating a strong kinetic force, giving the user fire breath, impossible speed, or summoning an entire storm. The full list is located here, but due to his canonpoint, Melius only knows those available in the main quest - any marked with DB or DG aren't shouts he's learned.

    • Blood Type: Coldblood
    • Omen: cat-sized dragon, name of Aakhahnu (lit. "Dream Guide")
    • Blessed Day: March 14th pi day
    • Patron Pthumerian: Moss King
    • Blood Power Manifestation:
Upon his arrival, Melius' blood powers will compliment his canon abilities. Shouting will be the primary focus of drawing out his fire and ice abilities, much the same as it did prior to his arrival. Meaning, fire won't mannifest in his hands, but if he raises his voice too loud, his words turn to fire. Or ice. He'll have to work on volume control, for sure. Down the line, he'll likely use the same focus methods as he did before his arrival - the same words to trigger his powers.
